fraud alertPioneer Bank has become aware of a telephone fraud scam that our customers should be aware of.  If you receive a phone call from someone explaining they have your government issued check and request your bank account information to deposit it, please do not provide this.  You should never provide your account information or to provide information for verification purposes: your Social Security number, your account number, your password, or the information you use to verify your identity when speaking to a real financial institution, such as your mother’s maiden name or your place of birth.

Never provide personal financial information, including your Social Security number, account numbers or passwords, over the phone or the Internet if you did not initiate the contact.
