Department: Mortgage Lending
Reports to: Mortgage Loan Manager 
Supervises: None
Summary: Enters residential loan data into bank’s computer system with appropriate updating, and assembles and verifies loan documents accuracy.
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • The interpersonal skills necessary to gather data from a number of sources and to represent positively the bank during such contacts.
  • Intermediate computer skills necessary.
  • One to two years of experience in a lending environment.
  • Good understanding of bank’s products and services.
Specific Job Functions:
  • Provides administrative assistance to the mortgage lending department, including updating loan data for entry in the bank’s computer system and assembling documentation for residential, assumptions and construction loans.
  • Ensures that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data.
  • Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation.
  • Checks documents for proper vesting, legal description, closing dates and signatures.
  • Maintains new and paid residential loan files. Performs a variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures. Responsible for ordering credit reports.
  • Cross-markets bank’s loan products and services as appropriate.
  • Answers telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and information.
