Dear Valued Customer,
We pride ourselves on our personal approach to banking and like you we have been closely monitoring the updates from the CDC in regards to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

As much as we enjoy seeing you face-to-face at our branches we know at this time you may prefer to minimize your daily interactions. We completely understand and want to remind you of the many ways we can serve you.

While this is a public health threat, there have only been three confirmed cases in New Mexico as of March 11th. Pioneer Bank is taking preemptive measures to ensure the well-being of our customers and employees during this season of increased flu activity and the public health situation related to the coronavirus.

In an abundance of caution, we are asking our members and employees to educate themselves on the prevention of spreading germs and illnesses by following some basic practices:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds (longer is better) at least five times a day and definitely before meals.
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Cough or sneeze into your sleeve or a tissue, and avoid contact with people who are coughing or sneezing.
  • Stay home from work or school when you are sick.

To learn more about the coronavirus and other illnesses, please visit the Center for Disease Control (CDC) website or the New Mexico Department of Health for the latest and most reliable information.

What is Pioneer Bank doing?

We are closely monitoring local and state resources as well as the Center for Disease Control (CDC) for the latest updates and guidance. We are working to create a safe environment in our branches by offering hand gel along with other appropriate precautions. You may notice us shaking fewer hands as a part of these precautions. Also, you may see tellers wearing plastic gloves when handling cash.

We also want to remind you that you have convenient access to your accounts through mobile and internet banking. With mobile and internet banking, you can transfer money, pay bills, and deposit checks using Mobile Deposit.

Pioneer Bank is taking this health alert seriously and will continue to monitor the situation. We encourage you to practice healthy prevention strategies by keeping up with vaccinations, washing your hands often, staying hydrated, and helping prevent the spread of infections.

Thank you for being a valued Pioneer Bank customer.
